Repair hint for Sony television Model KV-32S25.?
Picture blinks on and off intermittently at about 2 second intervals. No raster at all when it is off. Audio stays on throughout. Does not happen all the time. Picture is OK when it is on. Channel # on top right of screen (3) is on when this occurs. Trinitron was made around Oct. 1996. Comcast blames the tv for the problem. We repair electronics here but this one is a dog. In case you do not have a SAMS, the tuner module has the IF sections combined in it, and SAMS does not include the tuner in the Photofact. Chassis is SCC-J73C-A. Thanks!
Its the picture tube, its too weak to provide the Sony quality picture. It will blink like that when the tube is weak and just about shot. Turning the screen on the crt socket and or fly can sometimes get it to stop, but it will evenually start blinking again.
