Securing bookshelf to wall?
My bookshelf is on a carpet and it is tilting forward. I also want to secure it to the wall, but the wall is hollow so screws just go in and can be pulled out with little resistance. Any help?
In addition to Johnny C: you can probe your wall to locate the vertical interior stud and see if it's stability can be of use in that location. Always try to use the stud in the wall first because of it's rigidity. Hollow wall anchors are a second best option, but you will find several types that work well enough for most households. Toggle bolts are my recommendation, if you can't find or use the stud.
