Yeah, Christine. I think you hit the nail right on the head. I enjoy the thrill of seeing more pop up. Whoever mentioned OCD, yes I have been old a few times by psychologists that I have OCD (even though I dont believe them) and so this may also be a symptom.
I have ocd && I am always in my hair for some strange reason.
But hon, your not weird, I do alot of things that are considered weird, but, oh well, as long as your happy, don't worry about how it makes you look =] <3 !
