which is best ntsc, pal or secam?
I am recording some hi8 tapes with my sony handycam ccd-trv608 which format should I choose in vs se 10?
unless you intend to show your tapes in France or Russia, avoid secam at all costs. North American variety NTSC has better performance for action shots, and European PAL is better suited to still scenery and talking heads. NTSC is actually obsolete, you should consider getting a digital camera camcorder that is more compatible with ATSC at 16:9.
