Hi Everyone. I have a VW Beetle. While replacing oil pan, unrecognizable part...?
Hi everyone! My name is Tola and I own a VW but a friend was changing my oil pan due to the car losing oil because the drain hole stripped. Found two of these in the bottom of the drain pan.

Any idea what these are or where they came from? They say taiwan on the side and have some kind of "M" logo on it. There is a threaded hole that swivels in the middle of this part and it is not scruffed up or damaged looking. Does this look like part of a tool? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for taking the time to read this,
Tola
well if you iol pan was stripred some oil chang places will use a universal tempary oil plug that is the other half to the plug there desined to be used only once and the only way to get them out is to drop the pan. so you proabally had at least one oil chance since you found out about the stripped pan .
