What asking price for cherry wood?
We recently had to remove a 38 year old cherry tree from our yard and hubby wants to sell the wood (in central Pa.).
It is cut into burnable sections, both the large and small branches and trunk, but is not yet seasoned. None of it is usable for lumber but fine for fireplace or smoker.
Could anyone please give me an estimate selling price for the entire tree (excluding the smaller branches). Thank you in advance.
You better check with the county agent about using Cherry wood in an open fireplace or in a cooker or some sort.
Cherry contains cyanide, the smoke is stiffling and smells bad, I would not use it and I have cut a dozen or so trees from my yard.
