how do I fit a wall bracket if I don't know if there is a pipe on the wall or not?
me and my hubby just moved into a new house and the kitcheen is far too small, there is no space for our microwave so we decided to fiz a wall bracket, but my husband wants to give up as he thinks it could have a water pipe or electric cables behind the wall and we might hit it, thing is we really need this bracket, and I am sure it might be a way to find out those things as other people always fit brackets and don't break a pipe or fidn an electric cable, does anyone knows how to find this out? thanks
thanks, I went to ebay and searched fot studfinder and it came some results all from the US, I am at the UK and can't find those for sale on stores such as Argos, B & Q and Homebase, maybe it has an other name here? anyone know how it is called here at the uk?
HomeBase dose have a "studfinder" on its website, although there it is known as a "stud detector". The one on the site is made by BLACK & DECKER and is listed as a "stud and wire detector". Go to their web site, type "stud detector" into the search box, and it will take you directly to it. This model detects studs, electrical wires, and pipes, so I think this is what you are seeking.
