transfer students question?
Hi, I have transfer from school to school due to my gpa issue.
I was in Stony Brook U for 1.5 years but almost got kick out because of my GPA and now I am in Community College at Washington state to regain confidence and GPA, I have a few concerns,
1) since any school at this point will take a look at my previous college work and my work at community college, will dual agreement or articulate agreement work for me?
2) what schools have a solid engineering programs in the west of US and its not too hard to get into ? my advisor suggests montana state university but i have never hear that school and the location. Any suggestion on the schools?
3) I understand that GPA will probably be the most important factor for transferring, how about community services? I am planning to head down to S. California for the wild fire in Christmas for volunteer, will this help? (god bless those who have suffered)
I transfered from a jc in San Jose to San Diego State. GPA is important when transferring, so you'll have to do your best to raise it at the community college. I'm not sure how difficult it is to get into school in Oregon and Washington, but you could probably get into most California State schools with a 2.5, excluding San Diego State and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I know San Jose State has a respectable engineering program. Sonoma State isn't bad either. Good luck with that.
