Is an over the air antenna better than satellite or cable?
I'm thinking about getting an over the air antenna to save some money and i would like to know if you get alot of the same channels from satellite/ cable on this device such as music channels (vh1, mtv, mtv2), sport channels (espn, espn2), usa, tnt and many more.
You can only pick up local broadcasters from antenna, networks like NBC, CBS, ABC,PBS among others.
Some regions of the country have more local channels available than others... Big cities like New York, Miami, Dever will have more broadcasters than small rural communities.
The channels you listed, you will not pick up over an antenna.
As long as you can pick up a clear signal on antenna though, you may consider going to over the air, and then getting high speed internet and watching the shows you can't get over the air online, or through a service like netflix.
