will a signal antenna improve the download speed for my mobile broadband dongle?
i have little to no 'GPRS' signal in the primary location of my laptop and as i understand it '3G' signal is what i want . will an antenna achieve that and if it does, does that mean my web pages will load faster?? please give more that a simple yes or no. please say why . and please speak in layman's terms. thank you??
A dongle is as good as it's signal. The only indication of how good it is it to have a look at a mobile phone's signal bars.
Reason? Because it works the same way. Weak, crap signal = crap internet speed. Strong signal = good internet.
So get a mobile phone and have a wander around the house and find where the strongest signal is. That then will be the best place to use the laptop.
